Turquoise Coast, Indian Ocean Drive & Geraldton, WA

Turquoise Coast, Indian Ocean Drive & Geraldton, WA

Turquoise Coast
Turquoise Coast stretches from Lancelin, 120km north of Perth to Port Denison, 350km north of Perth. The relaxed coast is dotted with many seaside towns including Cervantes and Jurien Bay. It is known for its stunning sandy beaches, fantastic fishing, extraordinary geological formations, rugged national parks and incredibly diverse wildflowers. The Pinnacles Desert, Lake Thetis and the stromatalites are famous points around the world.

Indian Ocean Drive
Paralleling to Turquoise Coast, it runs the Indian Ocean Drive (SH60). The coastal road stretches from Lancelin to Dongara (close to Port of Denison). It's a coastal drive to Geraldton instead of SH1 with more attractions and beautiful scenic landscapes. Along the drive, we visit Molar Hill Lookout, Sandy Bay (Jurien Bay Marine Park), Grigson Lookout and Greenough Leaning Trees.

Geraldton Township
Geraldton is a coastal town in the Mid-west region of Western Australia, located 420 km north of Perth. The Port of Geraldton is a major west coast seaport. Geraldton is an important service and logistics centre for regional mining, fishing, wheat, sheep and tourism industries. At the stay of Geraldton, we visited some places of interest including Batavia Coast Marina, Geraldton Town Beach, Point Moore Lighthouse, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and HMAS Sydney II Menmorial.
